La Dolce Vita

"The Sweet Life"
A perfect description of Italian fashion during Milan Fashion Week. Having the opportunity to study abroad during Spring Semester 2019, I was able to learn and develop my skills about European fashion, specifically in Florence (where I was located), and eventually all over Europe. As an individual who is passionate about fashion, my main goal while I was abroad was to travel to Milan during fashion week, and I can proudly say that I accomplished that goal.
I not only felt excited and passionate about the sights I would see and the fashion that was present, but I knew that this experience would be something that I would remember for the rest of my life. I was fully confident that I would be able to blend into the chaotic atmosphere that is Milan. As I entered Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II (popular shopping area) and saw all the fashion bloggers in their prime spotlight, I knew that someday I would be able to accomplish success like them. Although I was unable to attend one of the shows that was present, I made the most of my experience by sightseeing, eating delish Italian food, and of course taking photos of the beautiful city that is Milan, Italy.

#FashionInspoOfTheWeek

Happy Sunday my Beauties!
This week's #FashionInspiration is from blogger and fashion icon Sammi Jefcoate. As someone who Is new to blogging, I have always looked up to Sammi's fashion style from the first time I saw her through Instagram.
If I was able to describe my style in 3 words it would be edgy, monochromatic, and killer, which is veery similar to how I would describe Sammi as well. I usually go for darker tones in my looks, and being able to draw inspiration and learn more about myself through another lense has been eye-opening to say the least. Although each and every individual has their own unique style that may differ from Sammi's, she shows her audience that you can stay true to your roots and still express yourself from the inside out no matter what you wear. My favorite thing about Sammi's style is how her tattoos add a strong element to her looks, because her creativity is shown through the artwork on her body.

If you were able to describe your personal style in 3 words, what would they be? Leave a comment below!

Must Haves

"Basics" is a term that gets dragged on throughout bloggers, influencers, models, etc., but having basic pieces in your closet is a must! I live by having neutral tone tops, sweaters, trousers, jeans, jackets, and shoes. Not only does it expand your wardrobe, but it also is the perfect first step into evolving your closet.
For those who are unsure about what neutral tones to add to their wardrobe, I suggest getting your basics in black, white, and grey. No matter what your skin tone or body type is, these colors suit everyone. If you want to add a little spunk to your outfit, you can always add a pop of color or funky jewelry to make it your own style! I have always been someone who loves black and white because it suits my personality and style, but I promise you that basics are a perfect way for you to elevate your wardrobe! If I were to choose one basic that is #1 to have in your wardrobe, it is a black leather jacket! I believe that leather can spruce up an outfit and add a little edge to something as simple as black jeans and a white top.
Let me know in the comments what your #1 basic in your wardrobe is!
