Must Haves

"Basics" is a term that gets dragged on throughout bloggers, influencers, models, etc., but having basic pieces in your closet is a must! I live by having neutral tone tops, sweaters, trousers, jeans, jackets, and shoes. Not only does it expand your wardrobe, but it also is the perfect first step into evolving your closet.
For those who are unsure about what neutral tones to add to their wardrobe, I suggest getting your basics in black, white, and grey. No matter what your skin tone or body type is, these colors suit everyone. If you want to add a little spunk to your outfit, you can always add a pop of color or funky jewelry to make it your own style! I have always been someone who loves black and white because it suits my personality and style, but I promise you that basics are a perfect way for you to elevate your wardrobe! If I were to choose one basic that is #1 to have in your wardrobe, it is a black leather jacket! I believe that leather can spruce up an outfit and add a little edge to something as simple as black jeans and a white top.
Let me know in the comments what your #1 basic in your wardrobe is!

  1. Would definitely agree that black white and gray basics are a staple! I've noticed as I've gotten older I always gravitate to the same basics every time I step into a store. You really can't go wrong with them, and it's simple enough to dress them up or down for the occasion. I also love how easy they are to find anywhere, and simple enough to replace once thoroughly worn-out. My #1 most worn basic? Probably my black jeans~!

  2. I feel like I can never have enough neutrals! My favorite color to wear is white, I always feel like I stand out most when I wear it. However, it is very difficult to keep clean and bright. Black and grey are always good choices. If I have try on more than three outfits and start to get stressed out and cranky, I always tell myself to just give up and put on jeans and a black shirt. It's a good way not to have a wardrobe panic and I've never regretted the decision!

  3. I love neutrals too! Black and white literally look so good with everything. I also have a faux leather jacket that I used to wear a lot. I think it doesn't fit me anymore but I'll have to look again. Love your style! - Amelia K
